Pointe Black 5th Birthday, relived in shared reality

A Somerset House celebration of ballet, community and access, transformed by Pryntd into a multi perspective immersive experience.

Exchange Bar, New Wing Somerset House Thursday, May 28 7 PM to 10 PM

The Event Story

A birthday celebration with movement, connection and purpose at its centre.

Pointe Black’s Birthday Celebration brought together its community for celebration drinks, cultural intimacy, shared purpose and a live performance from Pointe Black’s Senior Company.

Set inside Somerset House, the evening became more than a gathering. It became a record of Black excellence in ballet, of dancers taking up space, and of a community building a ballet world with no barriers.

Pryntd acts as the immersive infrastructure layer around that memory, preserving and extending the event so audiences, supporters, partners and people who could not attend physically can still feel present inside the celebration.

Why It Matters

Events create belonging. Access decides who gets to feel it.

The promise

Events create belonging, culture and memory.

They gather people around movement, identity, shared emotion and a reason to care.

The problem

Physical attendance is always limited.

Capacity, geography, disability, cost, timing and access barriers decide who can be inside the room.

The shift

A single evening can live beyond one room.

Immersive shared reality lets an event exist beyond one angle, one audience and one night.

The solution

Pryntd turns culture into an accessible archive.

Multi perspective, browser based experiences can be revisited, embedded, shared and adapted for accessibility.

Stakeholder Value

A celebration with a longer life and a wider audience.

For Pointe Black

Preserve the story, performance and purpose of the celebration while amplifying the mission of a ballet world with no barriers.

For Somerset House

Showcase resident community impact, cultural leadership and innovation inside one of London’s defining creative settings.

For audiences

Relive the event from multiple perspectives, returning to the atmosphere, movement and emotional detail of the evening.

For people unable to attend

Feel present through a digital access layer that respects the importance of being included beyond the physical venue.

For sponsors and partners

Gain a durable, shareable cultural asset that carries the event’s purpose beyond the limits of a single night.

For future dancers

See themselves represented in spaces historically closed to them, and feel invited into ballet’s future.

Accessibility And Inclusion

Accessibility is not an add on.

For Pointe Black, access is not a supporting feature. It is the point. The celebration exists inside a wider mission: helping more young dancers train, grow and take up space in ballet regardless of background or financial status.

Pryntd helps make participation possible before, during and after an event. Disabled audiences, remote audiences, future supporters and young dancers can access the story beyond the physical venue, not as a lesser version, but as another way into the moment.

The result is not simply documentation. It is a shared reality layer around cultural memory, built to travel further than the room.

Pryntd lets the event become navigable, layered and alive.
